Did you know that it is boyfriend season? At least this is what is continually flashing on computer advertisements.  My question is, what exactly is "boyfriend season?" Do you have to have a license?  Where do you weigh one in when you've got one?  And... what exactly do you hang on the wall as a trophy?  Are there nature preserves where shooting them is off limits and what are the prime hunting locations?  Do you have to identify the boyfriend as yours before the kill or can you kill someone elses boyfriend?  Are boys not currently in a relationship considered endangered and therefore protected?  If you have any additional information on this season please inform.

Soundtrack of My Life

Stolen from Timilyn who Stole it from Ella (who stole it from Marlowe- Break a Leg!)

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT SONGS WOULD BE ON THE SOUNDTRACK?

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool

It's a day

"What kind of day?" you ask..... One of those days. The kind of day where you wake up early.... because the dogs won't quit playing on top of you.  The kind where you have breakfast for once... 'cause it was the best excuse to get out of the office.  The kind of day where you accomplish a lot of things that were going to be added to the To Do list.... while the important items at the top of the list continue to go undone.  An average, ordinary day for me. Except for one or two things that I have added to my routine... today I made time to stand on the bridge at the fountain and feel the wind, a very strong almost choking wind.  Today, I took the time to visit a friend that I enjoy spending time with without any reason for visiting.  Today, I took pleasure in some of the mundane tasks that are unavoidable.   What makes today different and everyday a new experience is the outlook I decide to have when I first wake up and continue to chose throughout the day.  I choose life and to live it abundantly.  What kind of day are you having? Message me... I am sincerely interested.

I am a traitor

I have a myspace now.  I will have internet again tomorrow, hopefully.  The last two times I have scheduled to have cox come out they came 2 hours late.  I conveniently leave after they miss the appointment by 30 minutes.  Once I have internet again I will be able to keep up with both sites.  Hope all is well with everyone.

The end

It never really ends does it?  I had to let another of my friends that I haven't maintained consistent contact with know that I am divorced.  It has almost been 1 year now since the divorce.  We, the ex and I, were in the young couples/families ministry together at the West University cofC in Houston.  We were pretty active if my memory serves correctly.  I don't know that the shame will come to an end.  This is the feeling I have at the moment.  Perhaps it will pass.  It is a frequent visitor though.   NINE YEARS!!!!! NINE!!! 16-25 is a substantial, core period of time.  My lifes' strategy somehow seems flawed.  Checkmate.... I lose, everytime.  I am not as pitiful as I sound.... I just needed to vent.  Pointless having a blog if you can't express yourself.  It is Friday the 13th...... this was our lucky day.
